Daniella Zlotogoura
I trained as a product and furniture designer, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Product and Furniture Design. My early career began in graphic design, where I worked both in-house and as a freelancer, while also teaching at art colleges across London. Over time, my practice shifted from visual communication toward learning-centred design, particularly designing experiences for children and language learners.
This transition emerged from a simple but lasting insight: design isn’t just about communication or aesthetics, it’s a fundamental tool for how we understand, play, and learn.
In 2015, I completed an MA in Design Education, where my research explored how we learn through objects, space, and both human and non-human interactions. That research led me into spatial and interior design, and shortly after, I co-founded an architecture and interior design studio focused on learning environments. We designed homes, schools, and cultural spaces through the lens of experience design, always beginning with the users’ needs.
In recent years, my practice has evolved again, this time into the digital realm. Since 2023, I’ve been working as a UX designer, building intuitive, research-led interfaces for digital learning environments, cultural initiatives, and public-facing platforms.
My approach is grounded in design thinking and human-centred research, with immersion, observation, and co-creation as the cornerstones of my work. I design and facilitate transformative experiences through workshops, sprints, and collaborative projects, both online and in physical settings.
I’ve collaborated with schools, cultural institutions, creative enterprises, and non-profits to use design as a strategic tool for education, inclusion, and innovation. Across every project, my focus remains the same: to help people learn, connect, and grow through meaningful design.
